POST-CONTRACT TRAINING
The Post Contract Training facility is being phased out and applies only to contracts of employment signed on or before 23 April 2010. For further guidance, please refer to the Guidelines.
After an assignment of minimum three years, advisers are eligible to apply for grants for post-contract training to update and maintain their professional qualifications.
Applications must be submitted not later than four months prior to expiry of the contract. The amount requested may not exceed the maximum grant amounts given for three, four and five years of service, respectively. The amounts are stipulated in the Guidelines.
UMKC administers the post-contract training and education scheme. This arrangement does not apply to bilateral junior advisers as their assignments already comprise elements of training.
